“Realistic Sketch Artist”

I am Tewary Aditya Uttpal, a self-taught realistic portrait and figurative artist, creating since 2019. My practice focuses on graphite, charcoal, and mixed media, with an emphasis on human expressions, emotion, intricate detail, and storytelling through realism. As an advocate and multidisciplinary creative, I move between art, law, music, and other creative pursuits. This diverse perspective shapes the way I observe people, emotions, and the stories behind them. For me, realistic art is more than recreating an image—it is about preserving a person, a feeling, or a moment in a tangible form. Alongside my original artworks, I create one-of-a-kind personalized portraits and commissioned artworks, turning meaningful memories and ideas into lasting pieces of art. From Patna, Bihar, Tewary Aditya Uttpal is a self-taught realistic portrait and figurative artist who has been drawing since 2019. Working in graphite, charcoal, and mixed media, he builds his images out of patient, technical precision, chasing human expression, emotion, and the quiet stories that live in a face.

His practice moves between many worlds. Alongside art, Uttpal is an advocate and a musician, and that multidisciplinary life shapes the way he observes people and the feelings behind them. For him, realism is never simply copying a photograph — it is a way of preserving a person, a mood, or a fleeting moment in tangible form.

Portraits that hold a feeling still

You can see this in charcoal works like You Can't Escape Your Destiny, Black Rose, The Fierce Beauty, and I's in the eye of the admirer, where light and shadow are worked into something almost breathing. His range stretches from cultural homage — sketches such as Swarnim Vijay Varsh and portraits of figures like Ruskin Bond — to playful pop-culture studies including his Anime (Goku) and Dragonball Super pieces. Every line carries the mark of a hand that has practised it many times over.

Uttpal is one of the artists championed by Musée Living, whose Musée Art Café in Dehradun grew into KalaCUBE — a home for real, handmade, human-made art. We warmly invite you to explore his portraits and, when a piece speaks to you, to collect it.
