Vijay Joshi lives a quietly double life — "IT Manager by day and Amateur artist by night, pouring his heart onto canvas." That after-hours devotion gives his work its warmth: this is painting done for love, in stolen evening hours, under the simple banner "Pouring heart into Canvas."
His mediums shift with his mood. In watercolours he paints Christmas Evening, Dayara Bugyal and Kuteer, capturing the high meadows and quiet shelters of the hills, while oil pastels carry Sooryodaya, Wheel of life and The Travel Wagon into richer, more textured territory. Landscapes and journeys recur throughout — a painter drawn to open country and the road through it.
Joshi's work is part of the community connected to Musée Living and the Musée Art Café in Dehradun, the roots from which KalaCUBE grew into a home for artists who make time for their craft however they can.
