Ishtha Kapoor

Ishtha Kapoor draws from Dehradun with the openness of someone who refuses to be boxed in. A self-taught artist and illustrator, she describes herself as having no particular bias towards a single "style" — instead she reaches for whatever medium best carries her deep love for all things colourful, fantastical and downright silly. Working largely in digital form, she lets each piece test what it wants to become rather than forcing it into a predetermined shape.

Her subjects wander happily through travel, nature, the cosmos and the "wild." In Head in the Sky, Hands of the Universe and Never Hide that cosmic curiosity spills across the frame, while Risky leans into pure play. Closer to home, Nanda Devi under Cotton Candy skies and Dance of the Fireflies on Neelkanth turn the peaks and folklore of Uttarakhand into something dreamlike and warm.

Kapoor is among the artists whose work found an early audience through Musée Living and the Musée Art Café in Dehradun — the community roots from which KalaCUBE grew. That thread between a real café wall and a digital gallery is exactly the story KalaCUBE exists to carry forward.
