“Adding Aesthetics......”

Read the editorial feature on Komal Bothra at the Musée Living Journal. Komal Bothra has exhibited at Musée Art Café, Dehradun — where KalaCUBE began.

Komal Bothra paints from Uttarakhand under a fitting banner — "Adding Aesthetics." Working by hand across a range of mediums, she moves fluidly between spiritual and expressive subjects, letting each canvas carry the presence of the artist's hand, the time spent and the intention behind it.

That range is easy to see across her collection. Peace Buddha and God Ganesha turn toward stillness and devotion, familiar subjects given a personal artistic signature, while Expressive Eyes zeroes in on the human gaze. Abundance and Blossom (set of 3) lean into colour and symbol, and Horse keeps things grounded and literal. Each is carefully rendered, and each communicates the same quiet truth: a person made this, and that matters.

Bothra's paintings have been shown at the Musée Art Café in Dehradun and featured through Musée Living — the community roots from which KalaCUBE grew.
