“The artist who aims at perfection in everything achives it in nothing”

I am a sketch artist who works on graphite and charcoal.

Read the editorial feature on Lakshya Bisht at the Musée Living Journal. Lakshya Bisht has exhibited at Musée Art Café, Dehradun — where KalaCUBE began.

Lakshya Bisht is a sketch artist from Dehradun who works in graphite and charcoal — mediums that reward patience above all else. His drawings are built up line by line and shade by shade, through the deliberate movement of a hand guided by intention, and he often turns that discipline toward figures of deep cultural and spiritual resonance.

That devotional streak runs through his best-known pieces. Lord Hanuman and Lord Ganesha render revered subjects entirely by hand, letting graphite and charcoal carry both the weight of tradition and the quiet care of the artist. There is no shortcut here — only the slow accumulation of marks into something that feels considered and true.

Bisht's work found an early audience through Musée Living and the Musée Art Café in Dehradun, the community roots from which KalaCUBE grew.
