“Abstract Artist”

I'm an artist, wife, and mother of one daughter. I have done my master’s degree in commerce with major in accountancy. I am also a character animation artist with a background in 3D animation and film-making. I’ve been painting for almost 17 years so far.

Tejasvi Patel is an abstract painter working in the visual-art tradition, and painting has been a constant across a full and varied life. "I'm an artist, wife, and mother of one daughter," she writes. Alongside a master's degree in commerce with a major in accountancy, she trained as a character-animation artist with a background in 3D animation and film-making — and she has been painting "for almost 17 years so far." That long, layered practice is the foundation her studio work stands on.

The collection is drawn to devotional imagery reimagined in a contemporary key. Works such as Modern Ganesha Painting, Golden Ganesha Painting, Modern Silver Ganesha Painting, Krishna Painting and Om Namah Shivaiy bring classical Indian subjects into a modern, decorative visual language — the kind of piece meant to anchor a wall and set the mood of a room. Across the series you can feel a designer's sense of finish alongside a painter's touch, the two backgrounds folding into one style.

Tejasvi is part of the artist community connected to Musée Art Café in Dehradun, the Musée Living venture that KalaCUBE grew out of. If her contemporary take on sacred imagery speaks to you, explore and collect her paintings on KalaCUBE.
