“Be a part of my Dream”

Block printed- Home decor & Clothing and many more.

Read the editorial feature on Nilanjana Dutta at the Musée Living Journal. Nilanjana Dutta has exhibited at Musée Art Café, Dehradun — where KalaCUBE began.

Nilanjana Dutta is a craft artist working from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, whose practice lives in the warm, tactile world of block printing. From home decor to clothing and beyond, she builds her pieces slowly and deliberately — hand-carved wooden blocks pressed into fabric, one impression at a time. Hers is a craft that resists shortcuts, and that patience is exactly what gives the work its quiet magic.

Her Gharaunda series — the name means “little home” in Hindi — is made with block-printing colours and wooden blocks, and it carries themes of warmth and shelter that feel deeply personal. Alongside it, everyday objects like Table Napkins and a hand-worked Embroidered shawl, stitched in embroidery threads, show how naturally her craft moves between decoration and daily life. As she puts it in her own invitation: be a part of my dream.

KalaCUBE was made for handmade work like this. Growing out of Musée Living and the Musée Art Café in Dehradun, the platform champions the region's craftspeople and the slow, human skill behind their work. We invite you to explore Nilanjana's block-printed pieces and to bring a little of that warmth and shelter into your own home.
