Prateek Gurung paints from Dehradun, where art has been a companion since childhood. A hospitality student by day and a self-taught artist by instinct, he treats painting as a kind of meditation — something that "washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life," as his own headline puts it, bringing relaxation and calm.

Acrylic is his medium of choice, and his approach is refreshingly open: he plays with imagination and colour and lets his style shift from one piece to the next rather than settling into a single formula.
