“Open your flying_retina ”

I don't click photos, I put my memories on digital ink.

Read the editorial feature on Sahil Faraz at the Musée Living Journal. Sahil Faraz has exhibited at Musée Art Café, Dehradun — where KalaCUBE began.

Based in Ontario, Canada, Sahil Faraz is a visual artist working through the lens of the camera. He puts his approach in a single, memorable line: "I don't click photos, I put my memories on digital ink." Under the name flying_retina, he invites us to open our eyes and see the world the way he does.

His images travel widely, in subject and in place. Rangdum and The Tribe reach toward remote landscapes and the people who live in them, while Chasing Sunsets and Innocence hold onto fleeting light and quiet human moments. Kryptonite and Broken Frame round out a body of work printed on matte paper, where the surface itself softens each memory into something you can hold.

What unites them is that sense of photography as remembering — of pinning down a moment before it slips away, and giving it a physical, printed form.

Sahil is one of the artists gathered by KalaCUBE, which grew from Musée Living's Musée Art Café in Dehradun into a home for real, human-made art. We warmly invite you to explore his prints and to bring one of his captured memories into your own space. See more at kalacube.com/artist/sahilfaraz.
