Saumya Juyal

Saumya Juyal is a visual artist based in Uttarakhand whose enthusiasm needs no elaborate framing. "I just love paints... colours... I just make stuff," she writes, under a line that sums up her output plainly: "I do loads of art." It is the voice of someone who makes because she can't not make — art as a daily habit rather than a grand statement.

Her practice lives squarely in the visual-art tradition, driven by an open, playful love of colour and material rather than any single fixed style. There is something refreshing in that directness: no manifesto, no studied pose, just a genuine appetite for paint and colour and the act of putting them down. It is its own kind of invitation — work made for the simple joy of it, and offered in the same spirit.

Saumya is part of the artist community connected to Musée Art Café in Dehradun, the Musée Living venture that KalaCUBE grew out of — the kind of local, in-person creative community where a love of "just making stuff" is exactly what is celebrated.
