Shreyans Bajaj

Shreyans Bajaj works from Delhi as what he calls "a self taught natural artist" — someone who paints, writes, photographs and explores in equal measure. His guiding belief is disarmingly simple: art is a lifestyle, not a hobby. That attitude keeps his practice curious and unforced, moving wherever a good idea leads.

On canvas, that energy comes through in acrylic. Feminine soul reaches for something tender and interior, while his two Elements of life paintings return to the raw building blocks of experience, worked and reworked in colour. There is a homemade honesty to the pieces — the sense of an artist following instinct rather than a formula.

Bajaj is part of the wider community that gathered around Musée Living and the Musée Art Café in Dehradun, the roots from which KalaCUBE grew into a home for independent artists.
