Srishti Muyal

Srishti Muyal is a self-taught artist for whom, as she says, art is in her bones. Warm and generous by nature, she invites beginners and anyone with a craze for art to reach out — a reminder that her practice is as much about sharing the joy of making as it is about the finished piece. Her work is gentle, unhurried and deeply felt, built stroke by stroke with all its small, human imperfections.

She moves comfortably between mediums and moods. In charcoal, Finding Peace In Nature, Old man eye with so much emotions and Connection of two soul show a real gift for portraiture and feeling, while Beauty of Roses in acrylic and the abstract Sunset turn toward colour and calm. Durga maa, painted in watercolour, brings the colour and devotion of Kolkata's great festival onto the page.
