“Tees to dye for ”
Last year the pandemic made me experiment on tees. I made different tie dye patterns and colours. So, I started an Instagram page and put some of my tie dyed tees on there. It was pretty fun doing this and still is. I at the age of 16 was able to do this and was pretty happy selling these tees.
Anubhav Caleb is a Uttarakhand-based maker whose craft began with a simple lockdown experiment. During the pandemic he started playing with tie-dye on tees — mixing patterns and colours, sharing the results on Instagram, and, at just sixteen, discovering he could turn that joy into pieces people actually wanted to wear.
That hands-on, wearable-art sensibility still defines his work. His KalaCUBE portfolio includes hand-finished pieces like Sweatshirts and Socks — human-scale, tactile objects meant to be lived in rather than simply looked at. As his Musée Living feature puts it, each carries the tremor of a human hand and the accumulated hours of trial and error, a quiet act of resistance against machine-made sameness.
That resistance is the founding idea behind KalaCUBE, the marketplace born from Musée Living and the Musée Art Café in Dehradun, where real, human-made work is championed. Anubhav’s accessible, everyday pieces belong squarely in that world.
