Tripti Kharkwal is an engineering graduate from Uttarakhand who found her true calling in painting. Under the banner "Visual Indulgence," she draws inspiration from nature, scientific existence, emotions, and cultural and architectural heritage — a mix that keeps her rooted in the Himalayan foothills while reaching for bigger ideas. Her work is marked by restraint: no uncanny perfection, just a hundred small human choices, hesitated over and layered, stacked into a single finished image.
That care shows in the range of her mediums and subjects. Night light works in acrylic, Face of pahad in soft pastels, and Traditional Kumaoni house, Almora Bazaar in watercolour — the last a loving record of the region's architectural heritage. Together they capture the character of mountain villages and the everyday life of the Kumaon hills.
Kharkwal's paintings are part of the community that grew around Musée Living and the Musée Art Café in Dehradun, the roots from which KalaCUBE was built.
