Manasvi Aggarwal is an artist from Uttarakhand who describes her practice simply: finding joy in this world through colour, trying new techniques and new styles as she goes. That openness gives her work a wonderful fluidity, moving between mythology, pop culture and pure imaginative doodling without ever feeling the need to pick just one lane. Lord shiva in his true form and Kathakali, both in acrylic, reach into devotion and India's cultural heritage, the latter nodding to the great dance form of Kerala. At the other end of her range, Emoji doodle art and The character doodle spill into playful, stream-of-consciousness invention, mixing spray paint with acrylic, while The waves shows her chasing movement and mood. It is unmistakably the work of a human hand, fingerprints and all.
