Sonali Tomar

An architect by profession and an artist at heart, Sonali Tomar works out of Uttarakhand and sees the world, in her own words, as a colourful canvas. Her visual art carries the unhurried, human quality of a practice that isn't chasing grand statements — she simply lets the work speak, letting each painting arrive with its own visible brushwork and the small imperfections that make a piece unmistakably handmade.

Her canvases move easily between the spiritual, the personal and the observed. BUDDHA turns toward stillness and contemplation, BEAUTY IS ALL I SEE reads like a quiet personal philosophy, and NATURE GLOW looks outward to the living world around her. Together they sketch an artist happy to follow a feeling rather than force a single signature style.

Sonali is one of the many voices that give KalaCUBE its character. The platform grew out of Musée Living and the Musée Art Café in Dehradun — a home for handmade art from the hills of Uttarakhand and beyond — and Sonali's work sits naturally within that story.
